Premium, purchases and refunds

Cycladat is free to use. Connecting Strava, importing a FIT file, the editor, the standard stickers, styling, templates and exporting all cost nothing, for as many videos as you like. A few stickers are premium, and that’s the whole of it.

Right now: power, heart rate and gradient. They wear a rainbow jersey in the drawer, and so do templates that include one. The set is something we can adjust without an app update, so the jersey in the app is the current truth rather than this page.

Premium stickers can be placed, moved and styled for free. The gate is at export. If any premium sticker is on the video when you tap create, the app offers to unlock it. Take the premium stickers off and the export is free again.

  • This export only. A one-off purchase that covers the export you’re about to do. Good for the occasional big ride.
  • Monthly and annual subscriptions. Unlimited premium exports while active. Annual is the cheaper rate.

Prices come from the App Store or Google Play in your currency and show on the paywall. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel them, and cancelling is done in your App Store or Google Play account settings, not in cycladat. Apple and Google both make you do it that way.

If every option on the paywall is greyed out and says Unavailable, the store didn’t return the products to the app. That’s usually a network hiccup or a store outage rather than anything in the app; try again in a minute.

If you reinstall, change phones, or a subscription doesn’t seem to be recognised, tap Restore Purchases, in settings or on the paywall itself. The app asks the store what you own and applies it. “No purchases to restore” means the store answered and had nothing for that account, so check you’re signed into the same Apple ID or Google account you bought with.

The app also checks with the store every time it comes to the foreground, so a subscription you cancel is noticed promptly, and one you renew is too. Offline, it trusts what it last knew until that expires.

We don’t take the money; Apple and Google do. So refunds go through them, and we can’t issue one ourselves even when we’d like to.

  • iOS: reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in, find the purchase, request a refund.
  • Android: Google Play, order history, find the purchase, request a refund. Within 48 hours it’s usually automatic.

If you’re not happy with the app, email support@cycladat.com as well. We’d rather know why, and we’ll help with the store side if it’s being difficult.
